Ooredoo Maldives today demonstrated Artificial Intelligence powered Digital Solutions at MWC Barcelona (Mobile World Congress) in Spain, which brings together the latest innovations and leading-edge technology from thousands of leading companies across the globe.  This year, Ooredoo Maldives showcased its upcoming AI powered Artificial Intelligence powered Digital Care Assistant “Evee” and launched “Moolee” – a smart e-Commerce Marketplace Platform which enhances the consumer journey for both buyers and sellers.

Najib Khan, Chief Executive Officer, Ooredoo Maldives, said: “As we look towards the 5G revolution, we are making heavy investments in artificial intelligence and machine learning powered IoT solutions which will allow us to fulfil the rapidly evolving needs of our customers and reimagine the digital future. MWC Barcelona brings together thought-leaders from the technology industry, and we are honoured to represent the Maldives and showcase our home-grown digital innovations on this powerful platform.”

Continuing its efforts to revolutionize digital customer experience in the Maldives, Ooredoo unveiled “Evee” an AI Powered Digital Care Assistant which transforms customer interactions through Bots on its traditional channels (Voice and SMS), as well as a multitude of digital channels such as Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Viber, Telegram and WhatsApp for Messaging.  Bot led interactions will also be available through Alexa and Google Assistant for Voice Channels via Smart Home Devices.

The repetitive nature of call centres is opportune for AI and machine learning enabled predictions. By utilising “Evee”, Ooredoo can enable the automation of all customer experiences from inquiries and fulfilment to promotions, for the provision of more effective and faster services.

Ooredoo Maldives also participated in the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last year, where it showcased digital innovations such as its popular Ooredoo Next platform, as well as Magey Plan. It will continue efforts to invest in new technologies and services which can enrich the lives of Maldivian people.

Visitors to MWC Barcelona can check the Ooredoo pavilion in Hall 2H60 at MWC19 at Fira Gran Via, Fira Montjuïc and La Farga L’Hospitalet, Barcelona, from 25 – 28 February 2019. Live updates are also available on the company’s website and social media channels.
