Ooredoo Maldives Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Khalid Al-Hamadi has presented the official World Cup 2022 ball, Al Rihla to His Excellency President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih at the President’s Office. Mr. Khalid and HEP, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih discussed continued collaborations to enable a Digital Maldives, this includes expansion of 5g coverage across Maldives, strengthening national telecom infrastructure by connecting Maldives to Europe and Singapore via peace cable network, introduction of innovative new services to power local industries.
‘Al Rihla’, the official ball for the 2022 World Cup was unveiled earlier this year and is said to be the fastest ball “in flight” in the history of the competition. The ball was presented as a token of Ooredoo’s commitment to create unforgettable experiences for the football fans across the Maldives during the upcoming festive season of the World Cup 2022 to be held in Qatar. Ooredoo also invited the president to Qatar to watch a game and join the festivities of this years most anticipated sporting event.
