The Parliament’s Economic Committee reviewed the nominees and awarded more than 75 percent in marks to eight candidates. Based on these results, the full Parliament voted on the candidates in the order of highest marks received.

The members endorsed by Parliament are Mohamed Imthinan Saudullah, Husham Waheed, Ismail Hamdoon, and Ahmed Ali. All four were approved unanimously.

The endorsement comes as the terms of four current board members are set to expire on 31 August.
