President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has today departed on an unofficial two-day trip to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to local news sources, the President departed on the trip to attend the funeral of his younger brother, Ahmed Mohamed Solih.
Ahmed Mohamed Solih passed away aged 55, while receiving medical treatment in Dubai.
The President will return to the Maldives on Wednesday, 23 June 2021.
