President’s Office Announces Official Working Hours for Ramadan and Shawwal

The President’s Office on Sunday has announced that the government’s official working hours for Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal every year.

The official working hours starting this year would be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The announcement was made in the fourth directive issued by the President’s Office this year.

The President’s Office also advised government offices to adhere to the official working hours when planning events and activities.

Ramadan in the Maldives will begin on the evening of 2nd April this year, while Eid-al-Fitr will be on 2nd May.
