Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that work on design and build of R. Angolhitheem Harbor is well underway, with overall 80% project progress.
Last shipment of rock boulders required for project work have been delivered to the project site on 7 Feb 2022. MTCC has also completed dredging operations of new harbor basin.
The R. Angolhitheem Harbour project consists of; dredging and excavation operations of 42,615 cbm; construction of a 221m breakwater; a 166m revetment; a 91m quay wall; installation of 1100sqm paved area, installation of harbor lights and navigation lights.
According to MTCC, the value of the project is MVR 40.7 million.
