Reethi Faru, a brand new 4-star resort situated on the island of Filaidhoo in Raa Atoll is set to open in November 2017. The property which received its name from the stunning house reef (reethi faru) which is just 30 to 80 meters from shore, was leased to Mahagonhy group in 2015.
The resort boasts 150 well-furnished and spacious detached and semi-detached villas, which are decorated tastefully to showcase Maldivian culture and handicraft. Additionally, there are also numerous restaurants with multiple cuisines and a variety of on land and in water, activities to entertain the guests.
Reethi Faru resort can be reached by a scenic 45-minute seaplane ride from Velana International Airport or a 20-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo followed by a 30 minutes speedboat ride to the Resort.
Towards the end of the year, several new resorts in Maldives are preparing to open their doors to welcome tourists.
