Registrations for Local Island Tourism Magazine to Close on 30 September

Orca Media Group has announced that registrations for Local Island Tourism Magazine 2022, eighth edition will be closed on 30th September 2022.

All registered guesthouses, hotels, dive centers, water sports centers, restaurants and spas in the local islands of Maldives will be featured in the magazine for free of charge.

Local Island Tourism magazine, previously Guesthouses Maldives, is the longest-serving print magazine in the Maldives focusing entirely on the local island tourism sector in the Maldives which was first published in 2015.

The magazine is published annually, with the aim to be an informative and comprehensive guide to local island tourism in the Maldives. The magazine has been recognized by the Ministry of Tourism and Maldives Marketing and Public relations Corporation (MMPRC), and it has been used to promote local island tourism in the travel trade fairs hosted by MMPRC.

Currently, there are over 600 registered guesthouses in the Maldives. The seventh edition was published last month with Fuvahmulah as the feature island.

Eighth edition of Local Tourism Magazine is set to be published late this year.
