Dhiraagu has partnered with the Badminton Club to organise the tournament, which is endorsed by the Badminton Association of Maldives and the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fitness.

The previous edition drew 347 players from eight countries, including 30 international athletes, who competed across 733 matches in 2025. This year’s event will again bring local and overseas players together, giving young Maldivian athletes access to international competition at home.

Dhiraagu said its involvement forms part of its support for youth and sports development in the Maldives, with the partnership aimed at developing badminton talent and encouraging young people to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
