During the business forum held in India on the 17th of December 2018, Honourable Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced that regulations are being made to ensure security and safety for foreign investors through the law.
Hon. Solih stated that the Maldivian economy is developing day by day and that many industrial projects are being carried out to improve tourism in the Maldives such as constructing marinas and establishment of regional airports.
Several business people and heads of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and the Minister of Commerce took part in the forum held in New Delhi. In addition, after the forum concluded, the business people of India had one on one meetings with the ministers of Maldives and some expressed their interest in investing in the Maldives to the President himself.
