Ooredoo Maldives has concluded Season One of its EAFC Maldives Championship Contender Series, announcing Mohamed Zameel Zihuny as the champion. The tournament, held in collaboration with the Maldives E-Sports Association (MESA), commenced last Thursday and concluded on Saturday.
Mohamed Zameel Zihuny clinched the Championship title, securing a cash prize of MVR 8,000.
Following closely, Raid Hassan secured the second position, earning a cash prize of MVR 4,500, while Mohamed Rishfan Ahmed secured the third spot with a cash prize of MVR 2,500.
Ooredoo Maldives emphasized its commitment to promoting healthy competition within the e-gaming community through initiatives like the Ooredoo Nation e-sports and gaming tournaments. The company aims to provide a platform for enthusiasts to engage in healthy rivalry while fostering community within the gaming sphere.
Furthermore, Ooredoo highlighted the secondary objective of supporting local e-sports associations in elevating the profile of e-gaming competitions in the Maldives. By facilitating such events, Ooredoo seeks to contribute to the region’s growth and popularity of e-sports.
