A new route from Novosibirsk will give travellers in Siberia a way to reach the Maldives without changing aircraft in Moscow when S7 Airlines begins flights to Malé on 30 October.
The service is scheduled for Mondays and Fridays using Airbus A320 family aircraft. It will make a technical stop in Jaipur, India, to refuel, but passengers will remain on board.
Flights will leave Novosibirsk at 04:25 and arrive at Velana International Airport at 13:00 local time. The return service will depart Malé at 14:10 and reach Novosibirsk at 02:30 the following morning. S7 has opened ticket sales for the route.
The addition gives the Maldives a scheduled connection to a Russian city beyond Moscow as airlines prepare their services for the year-end travel period.
