SIMDI Group has announced The Monin Cup 2024, a global competition slated for 22nd June 2024. The event promises to celebrate talent and creativity and showcase the best in mixology.
The Monin Cup 2024, organized by Monin International, invites participants to display their originality and technical expertise to win the coveted Monin Trophy. With top mixologists from across the nation expected to participate, the competition aims to identify representatives who will compete internationally and proudly represent the Maldives.
Rules and guidelines for The Monin Cup state that each participant must submit their recipe during online registration, and Monin International will select the top 15 based on these submissions.
The competition will feature a dynamic format set against the backdrop of the luxurious Taj Exotica Resort & Spa. Each participant will have 10 minutes to prepare and present four drinks, adding to the anticipation and challenge of the event. The national winner will earn the prestigious opportunity to represent the Maldives in the international final held in France.
In addition to the grand prize, the 1st and 2nd runners-up will be rewarded with an exclusive visit to the Monin Factory in Malaysia, offering valuable insights into beverage innovation.
To be eligible for participation, individuals must be under 27 years old by December (born in 1997 or later), ensuring a level playing field and providing young talent with the opportunity to shine.
