Soneva Fushi has launched Out of the Blue, their brand new dining destination- A two-story overwater structure that houses 5 brand-new dining experiences. Out of the Blue will host top chefs from all around the world in various settings including grilled meats, seafood, Teppanyaki, sushi and secret menus by Michelin-starred chefs. It is open daily from 11 am onwards.
Out of the blue will be the only all-day dining outlet featuring a Tandoor Oven, Robata Grill, Josper Grill, Pizza Area, Chocolate and Ice-cream Parlors, first overwater organic greenhouse in the Maldives as well as a speciality cheese room.
It also features a culinary theatre setting called “Once Upon a Table” with just 8 seats specialized for intimate dining experiences. There is no set menu there allowing the world’s best chefs to showcase their creativity and skills.
So Hand’s On is the sushi counter with just five seats. Soneva Fushi expects to welcome world-renowned sushi master, Chef Kenji Gyoten who also happens to be the youngest Three-Michelin starred chef in Japan and one of the only four Three-Michelin starred sushi chefs in the world. Chef Akira Koba will be running the table year-round.
So Bespoke is Out of Blue’s Teppanyaki table featuring an open-air restaurant with flames and smoke setting the stage. Chef Katushiro will be grilling and barbecuing for only eight guests per sitting. Out of Blue also features a Chinese Kitchen, Modern Japanese Kitchen and The Bar and Cellar.
