From across the leading travel magazines, Mice and business travel reaching to Spain market. These publications cover various topics and interests of the Spanish Travelers.
Focusing to various themes, the media team will be staying in Maldives for five days, experiencing different products of Maldives while focusing on the unique side. They will be staying at Guraidhoo Palm Inn for one night with several local experiences arranged by Secret Paradise during the stay. For the remaining days, the team will split the stay at The Residence Maldives and Finolhu in Baa Atoll. Experiences such as trying specialty restaurants, exclusive spa experiences and other activities that are unique to these properties will be arranged for this team of journalists.
Spanish market is a promising market for the Maldives. Looking into the arrivals from the Spanish Market, at the end of 2019 a total of 36,064 arrivals were recorded while ranked in the 12th position for highest performing markets to the Maldives. This is an increase of 13.5 percent compared to the previous years. Several initiatives will be taken by MMPRC to further increase the destination presence in Spain for the year 2020. As such, Maldives as a destination was represented in FITUR 2020, which is the largest international tourism trade fair in the region.
