A Chinese woman in her 40s was diagnosed with coronavirus while residing in Sri Lanka. This is the first case of coronavirus in Sri Lanka.
According to Sri Lanka’s Health Ministry, this woman belongs to China’s Hubei province and she arrived in Sri Lanka as a tourist on 19th January and fell ill on 25th January. She was diagnosed with coronavirus on 27th January.
She has been admitted to Infection Disease Hospital (IDH) and is being treated by a special team.
