State budget accumulates a 4 billion debt

Upon the expansion of the state budget, the debt of the budget has increased to 4 billion rufiyaa. Minister of Finance stated that the main reason for the increase in debts is due to the expansion of the budget from 26.7 billion to 27.3 billion.

The budget was increased in several areas such as Foreign Ministry, Family Protection Authority, Judicial Administration and more.

Initially, the former government had requested a budget of 29.6 billion rufiyaa under the instructions of Hon. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. However, after modifications, the proposed budget is currently approximated to be 30.3 billion rufiyaa.
