State Trading Organization has announced reductions to fuel and staple prices beginning from 23rd April 2017.
According to a press release by STO, the price of fuel and staples are being reduced. The price of petrol will be reduced by 20 laari per liter, and the price of diesel will be reduced by 10 laari per liter. The price of sugar and rice are being reduced by 15% and the price of flour is also being reduced by 12%.
The new staple prices released by STO are as follows:
Sack of Flour : MVR 400
Sack of Sugar : MVR 400
Sack of Rice : MVR 298
