An introductory session was held at the STO Training Institute in collaboration with MNU’s Faculty of Engineering. Students were briefed on the activities of STO Construction Solutions and the technical work involved in its operations.

The event was attended by MNU Chancellor Dr Mahmood Shaugee, STO Managing Director Shimad Ibrahim and senior officials from both institutions.

Students later visited STO Construction Solutions’ ready-mix concrete production facility, where they observed testing and quality-control procedures conducted in the concrete laboratory.

The programme also included visits to the Makita Showroom and the facility used for Nippon Paint’s colour-mixing operations. Students were introduced to the equipment and technology involved in these services.

Participants also toured an active lift installation site, allowing them to observe how technical engineering work is carried out under actual project conditions.

STO organised the activities to mark National Engineers’ Day, observed annually in the Maldives on 30 August.
