Sun Siyam contributed MVR 122,060 to the Cancer Society of Maldives (CSM) through campaign T-shirt purchases as 490 team members and guests took part in the Pink Ribbon Run/Walk 2026 across its five Maldivian resorts and Head Office.
The participation formed part of Sun Siyam Cares, the group’s sustainability and social responsibility programme. The nationwide initiative was held under the theme “I Can, You Can, We Can Help Prevent Cancer,” raising awareness of cancer prevention, early detection and community support.
Participants joined from Siyam World Maldives, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Sun Siyam Vilu Reef and Sun Siyam Olhuveli, alongside colleagues from the Sun Siyam Head Office in Malé. The activities brought employees and resort guests together in support of the campaign across the group’s Maldivian operations.
Alongside the financial contribution, the Pink Ribbon Run/Walk provided an opportunity to encourage conversations about personal wellbeing, healthier lifestyles and cancer awareness. Sun Siyam said the involvement of employees and guests reflected its approach to hospitality, which includes caring for the communities around its properties.
Through Sun Siyam Cares, the group supports initiatives covering healthcare, community development, environmental responsibility and employee wellbeing. Its participation in the Pink Ribbon Run/Walk formed part of this wider programme, connecting colleagues and guests with a national awareness campaign.
Sun Siyam Resorts thanked the Cancer Society of Maldives for organising the initiative and the team members and guests who participated in spreading its message.
