The Hawks Pvt Ltd signs as a Silver Partner of Maldives Travel Awards (MTA) 2019.
The partnership agreement was signed on 16th December at the Hawks Office building, by MATATO President Mr. Abdulla Suood and the Hussein Aman, General Manager Director of Business Development, Hawks.
Maldives Travel Awards is the prize created to celebrate the commitment, Excellence & expertise in the Maldivian Tourism Industry. First launched in 2012, MTA recognizes exceptional achievements across a wide spectrum of sectors in the travel industry, acknowledging and honoring the very best that the Maldives travel industry has to offer.
The winning properties represent industry standards for excellence and innovation, serving as examples for others to follow. Maldives Travel Awards features 45 categories the three separate editions of the Awards, which collectively represents the resorts, guesthouses, hotels liveaboards and people in the travel industry.

The exclusive Guesthouse Edition of the Awards, features 14 categories including special accolades for the Guesthouse Islands in addition three categories, awarded by MATATO. Winners in the Guesthouse Edition are selected based on their ratings on TripAdvisor- world’s largest travel website- and the popular vote, collected through online and SMS voting platforms.
The Gala Edition, exclusive for resorts, hotels, liveaboards and airlines, features 25 categories. In 2019 MTA will adopt a new format to evaluate and judge the nominees in the Gala Edition. Winners will be honored at the Travel Awards Annual Gala – dubbed as the premier travel event of the year.
2019 marks the 8th Anniversary of Maldives Travel Awards which is produced and presented by Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators, MATATO.
