Marriott International is set to open luxury 70-villa Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort on the 1st of October 2018.
The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort is designed by Italian studio Peia Associati and will be integrated with inventive architecture and stylish interiors that feature exquisite local materials.
The island is accessible by a 40-minute seaplane ride from Velana International Airport or a domestic flight to the Dharavandhoo Airport followed by a 20-minute speedboat ride.
The project is estimated to cost USD 45 million and the resort’s double skin system building natural shelters will have an advanced organic shape and provide natural ventilation and calm shading. The resort will also feature fully-equipped world-class fitness studio and the Heavenly by Westin Spa with amenities and services that are relaxing and rejuvenating.
Marriott International is working towards opening one of their most luxurious brands, JW Marriott in Sh. Vagaru during January 2019. A total of 422 properties are owned by Marriott International in over 60 countries.
