Minister of Tourism of the Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom has met with the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), H. E. Zurab Pololikashvili at the opening of the UNWTO Regional Office for the Middle East.
According to a social media post by the Tourism Ministry, the Minister shared ‘the Maldives experience’ with the Secretary-General, discussing the ways in which the Maldives was reigniting its travel industry.
The discussions also focused on UNWTO’s engagement in the Maldives Tourism Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is the United Nations specialized agency entrusted with the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism.
