Trans Maldivian Airways Hosts Educational Visit for Ghiyasuddin International School Students

On 28 October 2024, Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) welcomed 40 students from Ghiyasuddin International School for a hands-on educational visit at its facilities within Velana International Airport. The experience provided students with an in-depth look into the operations of the world’s largest seaplane operator.

During their tour of TMA’s advanced Noovilu Seaplane Terminal, students attended a series of informative sessions conducted by experts from key departments, including Business Development, Human Resources, Safety & Security, Quality & Compliance, Aircraft Maintenance, and Flight Operations. Each session offered insights into the department’s functions, providing the students with a greater understanding of the aviation sector.

One of the highlights was a lively Q&A session, where students interacted directly with TMA professionals, learning about the various career paths available within aviation, the qualifications required for different roles, and possible future opportunities.

As part of its commitment to youth development, TMA frequently collaborates with schools across the Maldives to introduce young Maldivians to career possibilities within the tourism and aviation industries.
