Trans Maldivian Airways recently hosted three interactive familiarisation trips, offering invaluable experiences to 15 students from Gdh. Faresmaathoda Huvadhoo School has 25 students from Dhaalu Maaen’boodhoo School and 55 from Brightway International School. The students were provided with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge of TMA’s seaplane services and an exclusive tour of TMA’s facilities at the Noovilu Seaplane Terminal.
During their visit, the students were engaged in interactive learning sessions led by team members from several key departments of Trans Maldivian Airways. These sessions introduced the students to the functions and responsibilities of each department, underscoring their integral role in ensuring the seamless operations of TMA. Subsequently, a dynamic question-and-answer session allowed the students to inquire about job roles, educational prerequisites, career pathways, and more. Team members led the sessions on Business Development, Human Resources, Safety and security, Quality and compliance, Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), and Flight Operations.
Following the information sessions, students were given a personalised tour of TMA’s facilities, including the Guest Lounges, Boarding Gates, and Seaplane Docks and the unique experience of witnessing TMA’s world-class Maintenance Organisation. This educational initiative gave the students invaluable insights into the daily workflow and a first-hand look into the World’s Largest Seaplane Operations.

These initiatives have proven instrumental in offering young learners a realistic perspective of the day-to-day responsibilities of various job roles within the company.
