Two new Ambassadors Have Been Appointed

Two new Ambassadors have been appointed to United States of America (USA) and United Kingdom (UK) by the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. He presented the letters of appointment to the new Ambassadors at a ceremony held at the President’s Office on 18th April 2019.

The two appointments were, Dr. Farahanaz Faizal as an Ambassador to UK and Ms. Thilmeeza Hussain as an Ambassador to USA and a Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN).

Dr. Farahanaz was previously the High Comissioner to UK and Non-Resident Ambassador to Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, Spain and Sweden. Ms. Thilmeeza was previously the Deputy Permanent Representative at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Maldives to the UN and a Non-Resident Deputy Ambassador to USA and Canada.
