Unemployment rate among youth of Maldives has reached 22% as per the Minister of Higher Education Honorable Dr. Ibrahim Hassan.
He announced this during the opening speech of “Hunaruveni” a 2-day skils show. Speaking during the opening, he expressed that the amount is alarming and that this becomes a big challenge in a social and economic manner to Maldives.
“Hunaruveni 2019” is a special initiative by the Ministry of Higher Education to educate youth on job opportunities, job skills needed, higher education opportunities and to give out necessary information for school children in one place.
