As a part of Movenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives commitments towards UNICEF, the resort has joined forces on child rights advocacy and the Agenda 2030 through local initiatives and events such as marking World Children’s Day (20 November 2019) at Manadu School, Noonu Atoll which is relevant to the local promotion of child rights.
Every year on November 20th – to mark the signing of the Convention of the Rights of the Child – UNICEF celebrates World Children’s Day and advocates, raises funds and awareness for the most pressing issues facing children so that every child can fulfill their potential. The Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is the most widely ratified human rights treaty in history, and it has helped to transform children’s lives. This year –the 30th anniversary – is extra special. From Auckland to Amman and New York to Nairobi, kids are taking over and turning the world blue in support of child rights, and demand that every child, has every right. #KIDSTAKEOVER
