Urbanco and Economic Ministry Launch Co-working Space at Container Park in Hulhumale’

Urbanco, in collaboration with The Ministry of Economic Development, inaugurated a new co-working space at Container Park, yesterday. Designed to bolster the local start-up scene, this facility offers a nurturing environment for budding businesses, supplementing them with technical support and essential resources.

The space boasts 16 workstations and equipped meeting room facilities, set to cater to the rising demand for shared working spaces, especially among start-ups and emerging entrepreneurs.

The Business Centre Corporation (BCC) has already demonstrated its commitment to fostering new enterprises in the city, through its existing co-working hub, ‘Seed by BCC’. This latest addition at Container Park signifies a concerted effort to expand such opportunities for the city’s business aspirants.

On May 18, 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formalised between the Ministry of Economic Development, Urbanco, and the Business Centre Corporation (BCC), outlining the operations and management of the container park’s co-working space.

Under this MoU, those opting for the space will benefit from the Business Centre Corporation’s extensive advisory services. This encompasses guidance in business planning, marketing, administration, human resource management, financial planning, and bookkeeping. Meanwhile, Urbanco will oversee the day-to-day management and operational aspects of the facility.
