Many of the airports being developed in Maldives are set to open in 2019, as per the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Hon. Aishath Nahula.
The airports set to open are; Madivaru Airport, Kulhudhuffushi Airport, Funadhoo Airport, Maafaru Airport and Maavaarulu Airport.
Minister Nahula stated that the Kulhudhuffushi and Funadhoo Airports are to be opened by or during Eid in August 2019.
She further explained that the Maafaru Airport would open in September 2019 with the Maavarulu and Madivaru Airport to open by the end of 2019.
5 international Airports are to be opened in the 5 zones of Maldives during the reign of the current government.
