Villa College’s Faculty of Health Sciences has organised a solemn Oath-Taking Ceremony for the first-year 3rd-semester students enrolled in the Diploma in Nursing programme.
The event took place at the prestigious Ocean View Hall on the college campus.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. Ahmed Anwar, the Rector of Villa College. Following this, the Chief Guest for the occasion, Maimoona Shujau, Director General of Villimale’ Hospital, administered the oath to 112 eager first-year Diploma in Nursing students.
In addition to the induction of the new students, the ceremony held a special recognition for 23 Diploma in Nursing students from the cohorts of 2020 who officially graduated during the event. The Chief Guest, Maimoona Shujau, presented them with their well-earned certificates, marking the successful completion of their studies.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest urged the students to remain steadfast in their commitment to the oath they had just taken. Subsequently, a representative from the Diploma in Nursing programme expressed the students’ heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated faculty members who have guided them throughout their educational journey.
The ceremony drew to a close with closing remarks by Dr. Asma Ibrahim Sulaiman, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Dr. Sulaiman extended her congratulations to the graduating students and offered her best wishes to the incoming first-year Diploma in Nursing students.
