Maldives Police Service has launched a web portal for reporting human trafficking cases in a more convenient way.
The portal has been in use since March 2019 and was built with the aid of United Nation’s International Organization for Migration. This portal can be used to accelerate the investigation of such complaints all across the country. A target of the portal is to also increase the priority given by Police on human trafficking cases.
Users can file complaints through the portal with all the embassies established in Maldives. Any necessary changes shall be made to the portal after a review of how the portal is being implemented, as per the Police.
