Quarterly Business Survey by MMA for the second quarter of 2018 shows an increase in wholesale and retail sector while construction sector is slowed.
The survey was conducted among 170 enterprises, covering the construction, manufacturing, tourism and wholesale and retail trade sectors.
Survey result shows prominent upturn in business activity during the second quarter of the year, suggesting a favourable economic condition during the period. However tourism sector saw a decline in their business activity, mainly because the second quarter of the year was the off peak period for tourism sector. All sectors but construction sector predicts a better third quarter, with construction seeing the third quarter to be moderate.
