With regards to the invitation sent by The Times of India, Minister of Tourism Honorable Ali Waheed has decided to make a two day trip to India on February 22, 2019.
The trip mainly involves advertising the cultural tourism of Maldives where he will be meeting with the top businessmen of India. Tourism Minister, Mr. Ali Waheed, would be accompanied by Addu city, Fuvahmulah City, Male’ City Mayor and Kulhudhuhfushi Council president in the trip to to India.
“It is our aim to develop all areas around Maldives when working to promote Maldives tourism all around the world” said Mr. Ali Waheed. The Ministry also aims to bring 1.5 million tourists to Maldives by the end of this year and 2.5 million tourists per year by the end of the current governments 5 year reign.
