The water supply project to be developed at HDh. Nolhivaranfaru under free aid by Green Climate Fund has been inaugurated on 21st June 2019. The project was launched by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Honorable Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan.
The project includes drilling of boreholes, establishment of water collection tanks and storage tanks, installment of R.O plant units, construction of an administration building with a laboratory along with the installation of water pumps and water meters all across the island.
The project is being carried out by Canadian Crystalline Water India Ltd. with a budget of MVR 31 million and are expected to conclude it by November 2019. They were presented with the project in 1st November 2018.
