Zara has 64 stores in UK, and its parent company has 7,490 shops worldwide.

According to Zara the idea of making sustainable clothes came from an interview which Friends of the Earth gave to Radio 1 Newsbeat. In the interview Friends of the Earth said that it would be better for everyone if the industry sold clothes made to last.

Moreover, from next year on wards there will be containers in Zara stores to collect the old clothes, which can be reused or recycled.

Zara has also stopped the use of single use plastic bags.
