Fenaka Corporation, the state utility company has contracted two companies to construct new powerhouses in Shaviyani Foakaidhoo and HDh. Finey.
LF Construction Private Limited was contracted to construct the new powerhouse in Finey for USD 336,657 to be completed by March next year. The construction of the new powerhouse in Foakaidhoo was contracted to Walid Construction Private Limited for USD 362,554. The project was contracted to be completed by April next year.
The new powerhouse will include facilities for the generators and administrative sections.
The construction of the powerhouses come as part of the efforts of the utility company to relocate the powerhouses to non-residential areas.
