Tesla has received over 200,000 pre-orders for its Cybertruck – the electric pickup after its unveiling over the weekend.
The pickup which is still a few years away has resulted in a healthy number of prospective buyers due to the company’s marketing and the lower price of admission.
The deposit amount required for the Cybertuck is Tesla’s lowest price yet at $100 refundable to reserve the vehicle as compared to the $1,000 deposit required for the Model 3 and the $2,500 fee for the Model Y SUV.
Elon Musk has noted that the pickup is a better truck than an F-150 and faster than a Porsche 911.
The Cybertruck is expected to hit the market no sooner than late 2022.
