Soneva Jani has been awarded Worldwide Kids Accreditation for their commitment to providing world-class childcare services, operating in line with WK health and safety standards. With the launch of their latest family offering, Soneva Jani is taking the family guest experience to the next level.
The Den at Soneva Jani is a two-storey awe-inspiring playground for the imagination – and one of the largest children’s clubs in Asia. From sensory play to teens’ hang-outs, the Den offers fun-filled experiences for children of all ages.
Inside, a Lego and craft area, dressing-up room, library and cinema provide space for books, films, fantasies and more. A separate area is dedicated to sensory play for toddlers, while the kitchen area hosts cooking lessons and Soneva’s regular Junior MasterChef competition. Upstairs, a dedicated roof deck for teens features an array of attention-grabbing activities, including a music room, telescope, pool and foosball tables, pinball machines, table tennis table set above a reflecting pond, as well as a dry slide for speedy escapes. Older children and teens have access to Soneva Academy, with courses in the marine life of the Maldives and more.
The Den team has gained the City & Guilds accredited certification in “International Childcare for Leisure and Tourism: Tier 1” – Worldwide Kids’ renowned training course, which introduces staff to the essential safety and operational skills for working with children within a luxury environment. With a focus on safety, positively engaging children and building strong relationships with families, the course supports staff in the development of bespoke luxury services that exceed guest expectations.
