Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Federal Republic of Germany Her Excellency Aishath Shaan Shakir has presented her Letter of Credence, as the Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Maldives to the Russian Federation, at a ceremony held at the Embassy of Russia in Berlin on 12th April 2023.
His Excellency Sergey Nechayev, Ambassador of Russia to Germany received the Letter of Credence issued by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, addressed to His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, under a special arrangement made by the Government of Russia.
During the meeting that followed the Credential Ceremony, Ambassador Nechayev welcomed Ambassador Shaan and wished her success in undertaking her duties. Ambassador Shaan expressed her gratitude and conveyed personal greetings and warm felicitations from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to the President, the Government, and the people of Russia. She also expressed her commitment to enhancing existing bilateral relations and close cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Shaan was accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Fazeel Hussain, Counsellor at the Embassy of Maldives in the Federal Republic of Germany.
