Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has entered into an agreement with Maldives Hajj Corporation Limited by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the “Muazzafunge Scheme”.
This collaboration aims to facilitate MPL employees and their dependants to partake in Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.
The MOU was formalised in a signing ceremony at the MPL headquarters. Representing MPL, CEO Shahid Ali appended his signature, while CEO Najeel Ahmed signed on behalf of the Maldives Hajj Corporation.
Under the scheme’s provisions, employees can opt for a specific sum to be deducted from their monthly salary towards their pilgrimage fund. Importantly, the amount deducted is at the discretion of the individual employees.
This year, under the MPL’s Hajj and Umrah Policy, three employees were sponsored to fulfil their Hajj obligations.
