Six Senses Kanuhura Maldives has officially opened for guests, from September 1, 2023, onwards. The resort offers a total of 91 spacious beach, family, and overwater pool villas, situated amidst a picturesque lagoon that provides a haven for resident turtles and marine life.
The unveiling of Six Senses Kanuhura Maldives marks a noteworthy addition to the array of beach destination resorts in the Maldives. Following a comprehensive renovation and integration into the Six Senses portfolio, the resort is poised to redefine the Maldivian experience. The overarching objective has been to preserve the island’s natural beauty while enhancing existing amenities and resources.
Visitors to the resort will find improvements across various aspects, including the dining options at Drift and Bottega outlets, as well as the organic gardens, which now feature a microgreens nursery alongside the allure of wild orchids. Notably, among the 91 beachfront and overwater villas, there are 12 new Beach Retreats. These accommodations offer one to three bedrooms and private pools, providing an ideal setting for families or larger groups.
Suited for families, couples, or groups of friends, the resort offers an array of activities both on land and in the water. Younger guests, aged three to 11, can partake in enriching experiences at the Grow With Six Senses kids club, where they can engage in activities like treasure hunts, kids’ yoga, crafts, and upcycling. Families can bond over activities such as family cooking classes, watersports lessons, or private beach dining, allowing for quality time together.
The Island Hideout caters to teenagers, providing them with a dedicated space to relax and enjoy games with their peers. Couples can savour romantic moments while gazing at the renowned sunsets of Lhaviyani at the new multi-deck Point restaurant and bar or create memorable “I do” moments with private beachfront dinners under the stars.
Nestled in the pristine surroundings of the Lhaviyani Atoll, Six Senses Kanuhura is conveniently located 150 kilometres north of Male, accessible via a brief 40-minute seaplane journey from Velana International Airport (MLE). The Six Senses Kanuhura team eagerly awaits the arrival of both returning and new guests, and they look forward to celebrating this latest addition to the Six Senses family.
