As part of Dhiraagu’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to support the community and foster inclusion, the company has partnered with MOMS Aid to support the “Back to School 2024” programme. This initiative aims to provide school essentials for children from some of the most vulnerable families in society.
The main goal of the Back to School 2024 programme is to assist widowed and single mothers who lack support from their extended families. This includes mothers with special needs, as well as those caring for sick children or children with disabilities. The school essential packs will include shoes, socks, uniform sets, bags, and stationary supplies for families who are facing hardships in preparing their children for school as the new academic year begins.
Dhiraagu’s contribution supports children in the Foundation Stage (Pre-school levels), as identified on MOMS Aid’s care list. Recognising the importance of this crucial stage in a child’s education, the programme aims to ensure that these children have the necessary materials to start their new academic year.
MOMS Aid is a national charity founded to empower women, particularly mothers across the country. Dhiraagu’s continued partnership with MOMS Aid aligns with its objective to support disadvantaged children and mothers who face unique challenges, promoting a more inclusive and supportive society.
Dhiraagu remains committed to providing programme-based assistance in the areas of supporting children and empowering communities. This partnership with MOMS Aid for the Back to School 2024 programme is a testament to the company’s ongoing dedication to social responsibility and community support.
