Thailand is set to host a business matching forum in the Maldives, aimed at connecting local businesses with top Thai exporters. The event, designed to foster new market opportunities and strengthen bilateral trade relations, will take place on 18 August from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm at Hotel Jen, Malé City.
Organised by Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under the Ministry of Commerce, and represented by the Thai Trade Centre in Chennai, India, the forum will feature a wide range of Thai exporters. Sectors represented include food and beverages, fruits and vegetables, furniture, fashion, and cosmetics, providing a diverse array of opportunities for Maldivian businesses.
The DITP has expressed its commitment to enhancing the global competitiveness of Thai entrepreneurs by promoting sustainable value creation for Thai products and services, expanding international market access, and ensuring excellence in service for all stakeholders. The business-to-business meeting aims to strengthen bilateral business relations and facilitate business expansion in the Maldives.
The forum promises significant benefits for Maldivian companies, including networking opportunities with leading Thai exporters, exploring new business opportunities, and gaining insights into the latest trends in Thai industries such as food, fashion, and furniture. Additionally, participants will have the chance to discover new products and services to enhance their businesses and build long-term relationships with Thai enterprises.
Registration to participate in the forum is now open and can be completed via this online link.
This year’s event follows the success of a similar forum hosted by the DITP last year, which also connected Maldivian businesses with Thai exporters, further solidifying the strong trade relations between the two countries.
