SIMDI to Host MONIN Day 2025 at Kurumba Maldives

SIMDI Beverages, the exclusive distributor of MONIN in the Maldives, is set to host MONIN Day 2025 on 23 April at Kurumba Maldives. The event will bring together beverage professionals, resort teams, café owners, and mixology enthusiasts from across the country for a full day of innovation, education, and creative engagement.

Organised under the theme “Flavor Innovation and Mastery,” the event will feature workshops, masterclasses, and live mixology sessions led by MONIN’s Beverage Expert for the Middle East, Nana Sechere. The sessions will introduce attendees to MONIN’s latest flavour solutions, including the Paragon Cordials range, which focuses on rare botanicals and elevating the art of mixology.

Key figures from MONIN’s global team, including Miroslav Vulic, Managing Director of MONIN Middle East, and Anđelo Kerum, Trade Marketing Manager for MONIN Middle East Asia & Subcontinent, will also be present, offering insights and technical expertise tailored for the Maldivian hospitality sector.

The event is part of SIMDI’s continued efforts to bridge global beverage trends with local industry talent. Participants will have opportunities to explore MONIN’s expanding flavour portfolio, learn how to integrate international techniques into local menus, and develop new skills to enhance their professional offerings.

SIMDI Group’s Managing Director, Mishal Ibrahim Mohamed Didi, said the partnership with MONIN supports the company’s broader mission of driving innovation within the local food and beverage sector. Since 2010, SIMDI has expanded its MONIN portfolio in the Maldives from just ten syrups and two purees to over 50 flavours and 20 purees.
