The President’s Office has reopened applications for membership of three advisory committees tasked with providing technical expertise and consultation to the Government across key economic sectors.
The committees cover tourism, construction and fisheries, reflecting areas that play a central role in the Maldives’ economic structure. The Tourism Sector Advisory Committee is intended to support the sustainable development of the tourism industry. The Construction Sector Advisory Committee will focus on promoting sustainable growth within the construction sector, while the Fisheries Sector Advisory Committee is aimed at strengthening both fisheries and mariculture.
Authorities have extended the application deadline to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, to allow additional time for interested individuals to apply. Applications will be accepted on working days, excluding public holidays, between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Submissions may be made via email to info@po.gov.mv or delivered in person to the reception of the President’s Office. Application forms are available at the President’s Office and can also be downloaded from its official website.
The reopening of applications signals continued efforts to formalise sector-specific consultation mechanisms, with advisory input expected to inform policy direction and development strategies in the respective industries.
