Dhiraagu has enabled a digital option for customers to fulfil their Fitr Zakat obligations through DhiraaguPay, extending the use of its mobile financial services during Ramadan. The initiative reflects the continued shift towards digital transactions for everyday financial and charitable contributions.
Customers can access the Fitr Zakat feature by navigating to the ‘Featured’ section within the service tab on the DhiraaguPay home screen and completing the payment through a guided process. The service is positioned as a secure and straightforward alternative to in-person payments, particularly during the busy final days of Ramadan.
In addition to DhiraaguPay, customers may also make payments through the DhiraaguApp. Prepaid users can contribute directly from their prepaid balance by dialling *454#. By offering multiple payment channels, Dhiraagu has widened accessibility, allowing customers to select the option most convenient to them.
The company has reminded customers to complete their Fitr Zakat payments before 6:00 PM on the last day of Ramadan, in line with customary practice.
The move forms part of Dhiraagu’s broader Ramadan services, as digital platforms increasingly facilitate both routine transactions and charitable giving across the Maldives.
