BML Expands Support for SEN Education with Aminiya Classroom Project

Bank of Maldives (BML) has supported the development of a sensory classroom at Aminiya School, contributing to ongoing efforts to expand facilities for students with special educational needs.

The classroom, named “IWonder”, has been designed to provide a more suitable learning environment for students enrolled in the school’s SEN programme, which currently serves more than 170 students. The initiative included the provision of equipment and maintenance support, along with improvements aimed at enhancing the overall learning space.

The project also involved the installation of specialised features and resources intended to support students’ developmental needs, reflecting a broader focus on creating more inclusive educational environments.

BML has previously contributed to similar initiatives across the country, supporting the development of SEN classrooms at Imaduddin School, Hiriya School, Salahuddin School, Veymandoo School, and Gaafaru School. In addition, the bank has provided equipment to SEN classes in 40 schools nationwide in recent years.

The latest contribution forms part of the bank’s continued engagement in community-focused projects, with a stated emphasis on supporting inclusive education through targeted resource provision.
