Event Maldives has been appointed as the Official Event Partner for the World Travel Awards Asia, Oceania and Indian Ocean 2026 programme, Visit Maldives Corporation has announced.
The appointment places the local event management company among the partners supporting the regional awards programme, which will culminate in a gala ceremony in the Maldives later this year.
The Maldives is scheduled to host the World Travel Awards Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony on 27 September 2026, coinciding with World Tourism Day. The event will include a VIP reception attended by tourism industry leaders from across the region.
Visit Maldives Corporation has also appointed Print Lab as the Official Print Partner for the programme.
The ceremony marks the return of the Indian Ocean segment of the World Travel Awards Grand Tour, a series of regional events recognising tourism organisations, destinations and industry operators.
Hosting the event is expected to provide the Maldives with further exposure among regional tourism stakeholders while bringing representatives from the travel and hospitality sectors together in the country.
