The Air Service World Congress has concluded with resounding success, attracting over 150 aviation delegates from across the globe. The prestigious event was held from 9th to 11th July at Kurumba Maldives, Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort and Spa, and SAii Lagoon Maldives. It was organised in collaboration with the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
As a vital platform for professionals in the air transport sector, the congress facilitates networking and business opportunities. The opening ceremony took place at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort and Spa, while Kurumba Maldives hosted the panel discussions and closing ceremony. Networking events were held at SAii Lagoon Maldives in CROSSROADS, further enhancing the collaborative atmosphere.
Participants were updated on the latest developments in the Maldivian aviation sector, including significant contributions from Velana International Airport (VIA), the national airline Maldivian, and local tourism operators. These updates underscored the progress and innovation within the industry, highlighting the Maldives’ role as a key player in global aviation.
MACL emphasised that the congress provided valuable insights into the ongoing advancements in the Maldivian aviation industry. The event also facilitated new business connections and growth opportunities, demonstrating the dynamic and evolving nature of the sector.
The next Air Service World Congress is scheduled to be held at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Since its inception in 2010, this annual event has continued to be a significant gathering for the aviation industry, fostering collaboration and driving progress.
